"All is flux" (Heraclitus 544-584). Heraclitus reckoned that it took more than 10,000 solar years for the cycle of becoming to come full circle. In contrast, the pace of innovation in today´s technologies can bring about a revolution in the space of months, if not weeks. Finally, after describing how close we are to fulfilling such requirements, the author provides an insight into the latest in satellite communications.
