To manage efficiently multimedia learning resources, occuring as modules, they have to be aptly described. For this puropse a three-layered method is useful: an underlying semantic net, metadata (LOM) and relations between the modules. That means aditional effort compared to the traditional authoring process. This effort can only be performed if suitable tools (editors) are available. Within the framework of the project k-MED experiences were made.
