Didactics aims at greater quality – technology at greater effectiveness. Educational Technology, however, is often used as a Trojan Horse to improve education and educational institutions. Hence, demands and expectations are considerably high, and development and use are quite expensive endeavours; it thus runs counter productive to everyday use. Building up learning supportive infrastructures shows, that technology has to play an independent role of didactics and needs its own conceptual space.
