IPSI-XQ: An Implementation of XQuery and its Formal Semantics

XQuery is a query language for XML standardized by the W3C. This paper introduces IPSI-XQ as an implementation of XQuery which focuses on realizing the formal semantics of XQuery in a comprehensive and modular way. Thereby, it provides a basis for a fully conforming and optimizable XQuery-Implementation.
