In this paper we present a semi-automatic method, which helps the user in the process of interactive ontology mapping and interactive ontology merging. The main goal is to produce a mapping that tries to approximate the understanding of what the users consider to be a good match. We start by using linguistic similarity matches between concepts for initiating the matching process, and than use the underlying ontological structures and auxiliary information to inform a set of heuristics for identifying further matches between ontologies. User inputs like rejecting or changing mappings are taken into account, so that the plausibility of the correspondences can increase.
