Integration of Road Data in Multiple Representations for Federated Navigation

The research group neXus investigates on an open, distributed platform for location-based services. This article describes how road data from different sources can be integrated into the common data model of the platform in order to realize navigation applications. The mapping of data in multiple representations into a global schema is a prerequisite for the federation of queries and for the usage of existing data sets.
