Innovative Test Environment Techniques of Digital Components

Innovative test environment techniques are required to cope with the functional test complexity. Therefore, in this paper different approaches are considered and these are distinguished from the novel test environment approach Reflective. This approach counteracts the increase of the test complexity by using a strong hierarchical architecture, an application-independent synchronization, reusable modules, and easy incremental extendability. Thereby extreme reductions in test environment building in contrast to traditional approaches is enabled. The efficiency of that test environment approach has been demonstrated in several different projects.
