Infrastructure, Technologies and Services for an Enterprise-wide Intranet Solution

Using the intranet of the Deutsche Bank (db-intranet) as an example, the paper describes the infrastructure, technologies and services to establish an enterprise intranet solution. We concentrate on new multimedia services, especially videoconferencing and application sharing and their integration into a uniform communication and application infrastructure. Finally, we illustrate how such multimedia services can be brought together with traditional application systems using workflow management systems as an example.
