Exploiting the Use of XML for Multimedia Education

This article describes the possibilities for using XML in multimedia education. It presents XML based description languages for different aspects of a teaching and learning system, names tools for processing XML documents and evaluates the XML capabilities of web based teaching and learning platforms.
