Cellular Transport Systems – Making Things Move in the “Internet of Things”

Keywords: computing methodologies, Artificial Intelligence, intralogistics, distributed control, multi-agent simulation

Highly automised intralogistic systems are an example of domains in intelligent environments. Based on the state of the art of intralogistic order-picking this article describes the use of agent and RFID technologies, the multi-agent simulation und the development of smart boxes, leading consequently to a completely autonomous design of the material flow within cellular transport systems.
