Kinetics of Superdense Plasmas

The peculiar for two-temperature superdense plasmas mechanism of electron-ion energy exchange is considered. It is caused by local rearrangements of the plasma structure due to fluctuations of ion charge as a result of a sequence of ionization-recombination events. It is demonstrated that the corresponding energy exchange rate contains the extra factor Z² (Z is the ion charge) and so exceeds the exchange rate due to elastic interactions of free electrons and ions.
