Gallium-67 production at Bucharest U-120 classical cyclotron

A new route was investigated for the production of the medically interesting radionuclide ⁶⁷Ga (T_½=78.1 h, EC∼100%) at Bucharest low energy U-120 classical cyclotron. Details on the preparation of this radionuclide via natural Zn(p,n)⁶⁷Ga nuclear reaction and chemical processing (extraction followed by column separation) are described.
