Extraction Distribution of Microamounts of Strontium in the Two-Phase Water–RbCl–15-Crown–5-Nitrobenzene–Rubidium Dicarbollylcobaltate System

Keywords: Strontium, Rubidium, Crown Compound, Extraction and Stability Constants, Water-Nitrobenzene System

Extraction of microamounts of strontium by a nitrobenzene solution of rubidium dicarbollylcobaltate (Rb+B-) in the presence of 15-crown-5 (15C5,L) has been investigated. The equilibrium data have been explained assuming that the complexes RbL+, RbL2+ and SrL22+ are extracted into the organic phase. The values of extraction and stability constants of the complex species in nitrobenzene saturated with water have been determined.
